I owned some sandals by White Mountain a long time ago and they were my favorite. So when shopping for boots, I decided to give them a try again. Typically I wear a women's 9.5 to 10. I purchased the 9.5 and they fit well enough and have plenty of extra room for thick socks. I would've tried a 9 but I know that 9's don't normally have enough toe room for me. These seem to be very well constructed and have much more depth to the soul vs some of the others I've seen in local stores. The only thing I wish they had is more padding. I was on my feet for most of the day a while back and my feet were killing me by the end of the day. So these are great shoes for semi-casual attire. I work in a casual office and these are great for that. However, if I was truly wanted to hike with them, I would have to get something else.I bought these boots for the first time from a shoe store in a strip mall about 4.5 years ago. I did not expect to get this much life out of them. They lived a good life of near-daily use both indoors and on hiking trails. They offer good ankle support, are comfy for many miles of hiking and durable enough to handle chasing kids and dogs around. When I finally wore through the sole, I decided to go buy the same pair again. Absolutely worth it!I own three other pairs of 'Cliffs by White Mountain' boots (and a pair of White Mountain dress denim wedge heels) and ALL are NICE and of very good quality (although this company CAN be pricey!!). However, I haven't yet worn these boots as I purchased them a few months back (as of this writing) in preparation for my fall/winter wardrobe. But, after they arrived, I tried them on and they're a true fit. I'm a size 7.5/8, depending on the cut of the shoe/boot, and I purchased these in 7.5. I'm such a 'sucker' for eye-catching hiking-style boots (always have been) for fall/winter/inclimate weather, and the color of these (chocolate with a multi earth-tone colored cuff) will go with many of my wardrobe's casual outfit pieces. They come in black too and, if I'm not mistaking, are in the 'Save for Later' of my account. If not, they soon will be!!! :-)These boots are super cute and very comfortable. They are a narrower boot so may not fit well if you have wider feet.Just get themI wanted to love these shoes because they were super cute! However, I had to return mine because even at the correct size, they were just too narrow. Although I do have to order wide-width some times, I couldn't even keep these on for more than a minute because of how tight they were. My friend ordered the next size up for her and they were still just too narrow for me. (Was kind of hoping to keep the shoes I ordered and stretch them out, but wasn't worth the pain).Today is my first day wearing the Cliffs White Mountain boots. I've been at work less than 2 hours and already received 2 great compliments about them. One of my coworkers is actually ordering a pair after seeing mine.I originally saw these boots at Macy's (thankfully tried them on because I usually wear a 7 1/2 - 8 and these were too big), I ended up buying a size 7 through Amazon as they were almost $20 cheaper than at Macy's.I would agree with another poster who said they don't have arch support, but if it becomes a problem for me I figure I can buy shoe inserts. So far I really like them.Great boots! I had my previous ones for several years. These are living up to their name.Dec 16/2016 Update: OH BOY THESE ARE FANTASTIC. I've work them on 4 occasions, each time between 8-10 hours where I'm on my feet for all that time and they are comfortable and your feet do not hurt after. ...I highly recommend purchasing a size bigger than you normally wear because I purchased a size 9 (my normal size) but they were too snug and luckily I was able to exchange for a size bigger with no hassle so that is a great bonus. Otherwise they are so good! I just got them today, have not had a chance to wear them yet but I don't expect any issues, I've purchased other White Mountain shoes and they've been so so good!Ridiculously small fit. Size 8 ladies looked like a child's shoe. Had to return which wasn't a problem.look great, and are warm enough for in and out of car, but walking and get snow on toes, you feel it right away!realitively comfy, looks cute
